Singing Plates

The Singing Plates are a sound sculpture made of metal plates with acrylic rods threaded directly into them. These are then played by wetting the hands and rubbing the acrylic rods to induce vibrations in the metal plates. Because some of the plates were irregularly shaped, rods were placed at various points to excite different harmonics. A lot more work could be done in this area.
